THE SPEAKER

A lightweight unidirectional speaker was quickly assembled. This speaker is mounted on a pole and can easily be handcarried. The radiation pattern is close to a dipole speaker except at the rear the sound is slightly damped. The drawback with this speaker is the very low sound pressure to the sides.

The speaker assembly has four JBL Control-1 2-way monitors facing in an omnidirectional configuration. It is intended to be assembled on a pole and elevated high enough to reach out for a big crowd.
